A love of reading

Published on March 13, 2015 under News
There’s one event coming up which could interest our volunteers whose own love of books has lead them to support reading in schools.
23rd April is World Book Night when people are encouraged to give away books to other adults.  By making books freely available the aim is to encourage reading by the 35% of people in the UK who don’t regularly read for pleasure. 2015 is the 5th year that World Book Night is being celebrated www.worldbooknight.org and it parallels World Book Day which was celebrated in March and aimed at children.
